Coyote Blog on digital copyright (January 28, 2007)

Coyote Blog includes a post today about digital copyright. Computer scientists continue to decline to propose any meaningful reform of digital copyright. As a result, the extension of obsolete copyright law plays on out, and the general public is noticing more as time goes on. We see our computing and playback systems–a distinction increasingly blurred–fall under limitation just because it might be used to violate copyright. We have an increasingly difficult time using content that we have paid for.
